Ladybugs Are Dying
So I have been working on a new site, and so far this is all I could come up with. There are some bugs involved, but for the most part, this is it. Hate on it if you want. Most of the photos on this site are from Miguel DeLeon, found at lighttightcapture.com. He is a swell guy, and I am sure he won't be too mad at me for using them. The Namedrop section is a way for me to talk about friends that I have made over the years threw skateboarding. More "namedrops" are coming, so if you are one of the 5 people that visit this site, keep checking back. The video section is a place for me to put videos that don't belong in a namedrop. If you are one of those people that know me, and know the videos that I have made before and you would like to see them again, email me and I will send you the link. Hmbleside of the Moon is still up as well as the Oh My, Oasis, I'm On Fire and Now You Do It vids. Now for those of you that are skaters, this blog might be a little out of place. It for one, isn't about skating, and two, it discusses things that are not considered rebellious, but I feel led to say it.
Patrick Swayze and David Carradine both die this year. Both were icons in the world of Hollywood and both were in movies that contained, "The Martial Arts." Unfortunately, we will never know who would have won if they had squared off against each other. But that too, is not the point.
The point of this blog, is who a man is. What kind of life does a man live, and what will be his final mark on the world he lives in. Patrick Swayze was a role model beyond all role models. He married the woman he loved in 1975 and died next to her in 2009. He raised children with her, and still managed to be one of the "sexiest" men in Hollywood. He could have had any woman he wanted, and yet he stayed faithful to the woman he was with. That in itself is a feat worth mentioning in a day and age where the divorce rate is higher than the president's approval rating. His characters included loyal brothers, loyal lovers and loyal friends. Excluding that one role in Donnie Darko, that still boggles my mind. Truth be told, I think I based most of my moral ethics off of his character in Roadhouse. JK What I am trying to say about Swayze, is he was a man's man. The kind of guy that you couldn't say anything negative about. I mean, let's be honest, there are a lot of guys out there that can quote,"Nobody puts Baby in a corner!"
David Carradine was another story. He was the iconic actor that always played creepy characters. He was one of Hollywood's original lies, when he tried to pass himself off in a role that everyone knows should have been Bruce Lee's. You know the role I am talking about, Kung Fu. He also played villains of Chuck Norris, all the way up to "Bill." His famous characters were bad. His personal life was also questionable. He was married 5 times, and his last wife made the inferences that his sexual deviancy was getting dangerous. So why do we care?
Both of these "icons," had similar roles and similar opportunities. One chose to take the high road, and one chose the low. It was how they died that seemed to sum up their lives. Patrick Swayze died holding the hands of his loved ones bravely and peacefully. Carroadine died with fishnet stockings on and a noose around his penis. Patrick's last words were "I am not afraid to die, and I love you all." David's were, "ARRRGH...UUUNNNNNHHHH...aaaggghhh...!!"
The moral of this blog is that the man you are will carry with you until the day you die. If you lead a good life filled with love and loyalty, you will die with dignity and honor. If you live a life of excess and fetish, there is no telling where you will end up and who if anyone will find you. Remember, if you dance with the devil, he will say stop whether you are ready or not. I am not judging Carradine or Swayze on what kind of men they might have been. I am merely making an observation into the way to men lived their public and private lives.

So I have this page now and I really don't know what I am going to with it. I mean really, how much can I say about skateboarding when there is so much other great stuff going on in the world. Think about it. We finally have a a president that is going to save us all, and the only thing that he is doing worth mentioning is call Kanye West a "Jackass." Which, by the way, was something we already knew. Look at the president for a moment. This is a man that said he was going to stop the war, yet another one has started instead. I think maybe we should start looking to help ourselves, instead of believing in another smiling politician. What's even funnier, is the news media and the way that they responded to the news story.
Normally, I don't watch the news, but unfortunately I got a chance to catch the story on Hannity's Fox news program while I was laying in a hospital bed last week after having a heat stroke. Crazy, huh? Yeah, I had a heat stroke from skating in an air conditioned park last week. I must be getting old. Apparently, your body's hydration comes from an accumulation process. Over time, your body "accumulates" a certain amount of water to keep you hydrated. If you don't add to this accumulation, your body can deplete itself from water, even in the most ideal exercise situations. My problem was, I don't drink water at all, unless it is a tasty bottle of Vitamin Water. Other than that, I always refreshed myself with Sweet Tea or carbonated beverages. Big mistake. Having a heat stroke "jacked" my whole system. I was laid out in bed for 2 days from it. Lesson learned. I have been drinking nothing but water and juice the past 5 days and suffering from regular headaches due to caffeine withdrawal. Trust me, you don't want to go through what I did, so drink water as much as you can. Even if it is chock full of flouride. :) I almost forgot why was telling you all of this. Fox news brought Country Music singer John Rich, Actor and drug abuser, Mickey Rourke and a democratic strategist named Michael Brown into Hannity's studio to talk about the "Jackass" quote. In which, both Rourke and Rich proceeded to say things like, "I wish Kanye would call me a Jackass," or "too bad there weren't more "country boys" in the audience, or else they'd have..." That's awesome!! Who needs actors when you can just watch the news for a laugh.
My advice, is to skate as much as you can, but make sure you keep hydrated. I V's suck.

Welcome to the homepage of the completely unknown. The former Team Kevin, or TK for short. I have been a skateboarder for over 30 years, and in that time, I have made a lot of interesting friends. I also developed somewhat of a sarcastic attitude.
This page is for those who appreciate life and the skewed way of looking at it known as skateboarding. If you like football, basketball or balls in general for that matter, this is not the place for you. If you like skateboarding and rebellion against society as we know it, then you should feel right at home.
I suppose by now, that you are wondering why I am dead, as well as how can I maintain this website since I am dead. Simple. I killed myself before anybody else could. And when I say myself, I don't mean suicide. I mean my attitude. With everything you do in life, you should put everything into it. That is the only way you will ever get the most out of it. When I skate, I fall down. Alot!! But everytime, I get back up and try it again. I have scars both physically and mentally that will never heal. But I also have pride and glory that will never be taken away from me. The rolled ankles that we have all suffered. The concussions that kept us up at night. And the sore backs that come from sleeping on floors for months at the time, just so you can be part of a scene. These are what we endure just for the pride to say "I made it!" "I did something that few ever try."
We don't spend our lives in a Lay-Z-Boy watching the game. We spend our lives living in the moment. No coach, no referee and no whistle, only the pain of weakness leaving the body is needed.
My friends and I don't have an SUV, or a gas card from mommy and daddy. Hell, some of rarely shower or change clothes. What we do have is the freedom of expression that this country guarantees us. And with that, we express it with 4 wheels on a board. No straps, or handles on this ride.
So if you are one of us, and you like to skate, welcome to the site. Join the Dead with me and kill yourself for your love.
